Royal Caribbean Reveals Itineraries for Cuba Vessels

Royal Caribbean has new plans for two ships that had been sailing Cuba cruises, which are no longer permitted by the U.S. government.

In 2020, the Majesty of the Seas will sail from New Orleans, doing seven-day cruises to the Bahamas, including Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay private island.

The Empress of the Seas, meanwhile, will remain in Miami and sail a variety of itineraries, mostly focused on Cozumel, Key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Cruise lengths vary from four to eight days.

Cruises of more than a week include one going to Tortola and St. Thomas in addition to CocoCay and San Juan. There will be five cruises in early 2020 that will group Labadee, San Juan, St. Thomas and Virgin Gorda.

In the past, the Majesty has done short cruises to the Bahamas from Miami, but that role has been filled by the renovated, larger Navigator of the Seas.
