Xantar’s 20th Edition Underway in Ourense
The 20th edition of Xantar, the International Gastronomic Tourism Show, is unfolding from Feb. 6 to 10 February at the Expourense Fairgrounds (Ourense) and will feature a dozen countries, which are Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Italy, Peru, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina and Nicaragua.
In turn, there will be a grand total of 283 exhibitors, a figure that exceeds that of the previous edition.
This new gathering of Xantar will offer more than 200 food and wine experiences –an average of four activities per hour- and will feature three classrooms that will welcome the participation of chefs from nine countries: Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Nicaragua, which will give 77 culinary demonstrations.
The program includes expert lectures, demonstrations, workshops, master classes or tasting sessions, as well as parallel activities, such as the 6th Meeting of Gastronomic and Tourism Bloggers, in which more than 20 bloggers from Galicia, Asturias and Portugal are attending
Another major event is the 15th International Meeting of Brotherhoods, which will be having 40 entities from four countries.
All in all, the 20th edition of Xantar, which will be officially opened this Wednesday by the vice president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, will offer more than 20 menus based on local products from the represented places, whose prices sway between 15 and 39 euros.
