The Paradisus Varadero Resort & Spa hotel was awarded in the 26th edition of the World Travel Awards, in Cuba’s Leading Resort 2019 category.
This facility, located in the homonymous resort (west of the island), stands out for the natural surroundings that make it an option for holiday and professional trips, according to a press release disclosed Tuesday by the division Cuba of the Melia Hotels International chain.
It is an All Inclusive luxury accommodation, with a 5-star category. It has 806 rooms with high comfort, as well as options for families, swim-up spaces and two exclusive Garden Villas.
The hotel stands out for the unique experience offered by the Royal Service (Only for Adults) and Family Concierge, highly personalized, the note stresses.
Paradisus Varadero is recommended for weddings and honeymoons, family trips, events, congresses and vacations focused on wellness and quality of life.
Known as “the Oscars of tourism”, the World Travel Awards are the most notorious recognition of the sector.
Created in 1993, they are synonymous with excellence in all activities related to the global travel industry, concludes the report of the Melia Hotels International chain.
Cuba holds dissimilar awards that distinguish its accommodations and tourist destinations as some of the most outstanding in the area, and even the world. The National Hotel of Cuba was also awarded at the World Travel Awards.
Melia added that this distinction is the result of guest quality surveys plus the assessment of the international team of inspectors. Varadero was also selected as the third best beach in the world according to the Travelers' Choice Awards 2018.
The award, based on the opinions of users from various nationalities, places the Cuban resort in third place only preceded by Grace Bay beach (Turks and Caicos Islands), and Baia Do Sancho, in Brazil.
