Cuba Attending TOP RESA Tourism Fair in France
A large Cuban delegation with more than 30 executives and specialists is attending on Wednesday the TOP RESA Tourism Fair, the main meeting of the sector held every year in France.
Cuba's presence at the tourist showcase seeks to promote the Caribbean nation's potentialities as a travel destination, and continue to expand ties with French agencies and companies, Rosa Adela Mejias, tourism adviser at the Cuban embassy in Paris, told Prensa Latina.
“The main objective is to have meetings directly with French enterprises, explain our new features, emphasize everything that Cuba is doing at short, mid and long term with the infrastructure, and highlight all actions we are deploying to increase the quality of the product,” she explained.
According to the specialist, an essential issue is to show the potentialities and diversity of the island's tourist offer: cultural tourism, nature tourism, sun and beach destination, circuits, among others.
According to Mejias, one of the priorities at present is to expand connections beyond Havana, to other provinces such as Santiago de Cuba and Holguin, to which the opening of the Segundo Frente Hotel 'shows new features that due to its historical connotation and geographical positioning, we believe it will have a very good reception,' she said.
TOP RESA Tourism Fair opened its doors on Tuesday, September 25, and will be open throughout the week at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles, with the attendance of more than 1,500 exhibitors from France and dozens of countries.
