The opening of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts’ new Iberostar Holguin, the resort company’s first five-star hotel in the province of Holguin, is set for Nov. 15.
The hotel’s launch adds to Iberostar’s portfolio in Cuba while the chain celebrates its 25th anniversary on the island. The resort comprises 12 low-rise buildings with 638 rooms, six restaurants and four swimming pools, according to Maria Barrera, chief of Marketing for Iberostar Cuba.
The new hotel also offers the Star Prestige service, an adults-only area with a wide range of premium amenities, including the best rooms, access to exclusive area, and special services.
Guests opting for the Star Prestige experience can also relax on a sun terrace furnished with Bali beds, dine in an exclusive restaurant, and enjoy drinks in the open bar lounge.
An extensive range of daytime and evening leisure activities await all guests, plus dining options featuring international and local dishes with touches of African and Spanish culinary traditions. Asian cuisine is another highlight. Altogether the resort will have six restaurants and nine bars.
The resort sits on Playa Pesquero on the North Coast, with a succession of coves and bays dotted with cliffs covered in lush vegetation and fine white sandy beaches. One of the world’s largest coral reefs is just 15 km from the hotel.
