Spirit Airlines to Start Cali Service in December

Spirit Airlines announced that it has added a fifth Colombian destination to its roster. Beginning on December 20, 2018, the airline will launch daily service to Cali, Colombia from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport.

Spirit currently services Armenia, Bogota, Cartagena and Medellin in Colombia. The addition of Cali will increase the number of people who can visit and experience the country.

This new service will also allow more people from Colombia to travel to the United States. Flyers from Colombia will also be able to connect with many U.S. destinations from the Ft. Lauderdale airport, allowing them to travel seamlessly with Spirit Airlines.

The new flight will operate between Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FFL) and the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO) in Cali. Officials in Cali have been working very diligently to attract more air routes into their area.

Cali hopes to attract more visitors who wish to experience their culture, fabulous cuisine and salsa dancing. The addition of this new flight from Spirit Airlines is just the beginning for the area's tourism trade.

The addition of this route gives Spirit Airlines 17 destinations in Latin America and a total of 28 destinations outside of continental United States.

Spirit Airlines has seen significant growth over the last few years. The airline credits its growth to on-time service, competitive pricing and superior customer service.

Spirit Airlines is a Florida based ultra-low cost carrier. The airline is the eighth largest carrier operating in the United States, operating more than 500 flights daily throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
