Spain Reports Nearly 4% Uptick in Foreign Tourist Arrivals

The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Spain increased 3.8 percent year-on-year to 4.38 million in February this year, following a 2.2 percent gain in the previous month.

Visitors to Spain came mostly from the UK (up 2.3 percent year-on-year to 884,000), France (up 3.1 percent to 562,000), Germany (up 2.4 percent to 549,000), Italy (up 12.6 percent to 262,000), and the U.S. (21.5 percent to 207,000).

As far as Spanish travel destinations are concerned, Canarias topped the list, followed by Cataluña and Andalucía in that same order.
