Cunard Celebrates Record-Breaking Growth with the Launch of Queen Anne

Cunard has announced a record-breaking year for bookings in 2024, driven by the debut of its newest ship, Queen Anne, and a robust portfolio of new cruise programs. Between January 1 and October 31, the iconic cruise line registered 73,000 more guest reservations than the same period in 2023—a 23% year-on-year surge.
This achievement represents the highest number of guest bookings for any equivalent period in Cunard's history. Both the UK and North American markets contributed significantly, with a 24% increase in UK bookings and an impressive 29% rise in North America compared to last year.
The May 2024 launch of Queen Anne, Cunard’s latest addition to its fleet, was a pivotal factor in this growth. The ship’s arrival coincided with the introduction of three new cruise programs: winter 2026 and summer 2026 itineraries launched in March, followed by the winter 2027 program in October. These offerings have fueled unprecedented demand across the company’s global markets.
Cunard continues to expand its international reach, with over half of all bookings now coming from outside the UK. Targeted marketing campaigns have successfully attracted global travelers, resulting in a 22% increase in international bookings compared to 2023.
The brand's commitment to blending timeless elegance with modern luxury has resonated with both loyal and new travelers. First-time guest bookings surged by 49% between January and October, further solidifying Cunard’s reputation as a premier luxury cruise line.
