Princess Cruises is set to transform onboard connectivity with the introduction of MedallionNet Max, a cutting-edge Wi-Fi service designed for today’s digitally-connected travelers. Debuting on August 31, MedallionNet Max will be available exclusively through the Princess Plus and Princess Premier bundles, setting a new standard for cruise vacation value and connectivity.

Since its initial launch in 2018, Princess Cruises has been at the forefront of high-performance onboard Wi-Fi. The line has implemented advanced satellite technology, including LEO (Starlink), MEO, GEO satellite constellations, and 5G terrestrial networks, to ensure seamless connectivity across its fleet.

With MedallionNet Max, Princess Cruises is introducing a two-tier Wi-Fi system. MedallionNet Classic will continue to provide reliable, high-quality service as it has in the past. MedallionNet Max, however, will offer the highest performance available, leveraging top-tier bandwidth, typically provided by Starlink, to deliver an unparalleled internet experience.

The new service tier will be included in the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages, designed to offer the best possible onboard experience at exceptional value. For those not opting for these packages, MedallionNet Classic remains available at $24.99 per day for a single device and $44.99 per day for multiple devices.

To celebrate the launch, Princess Cruises will host its first land/sea user-generated content (UGC) competition featuring a custom Minecraft world – Princess Cruises Nautical Quest. The event, airing on August 7, will see 32 prominent UGC players, including Shubble, Krinios, Fruitberries, and others, competing aboard the Enchanted Princess in the Caribbean, while 24 additional players will participate from home.

John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises, emphasized the brand's commitment to providing top-tier connectivity: “With MedallionNet Max, we’re ensuring our guests receive the best possible onboard experience. By including this premium service in our inclusive bundles, we continue to deliver unmatched value as our guests explore over 330 destinations.”

Princess Cruises revolutionized connectivity in 2018 with the MedallionNet service, setting a new industry benchmark by achieving speeds of 2.25 Gbps aboard the Regal Princess. As connectivity evolves with advancements like Starlink, Princess remains dedicated to offering the best value and hassle-free experience.

Guests choosing the Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages will benefit from additional amenities such as beverages, casual dining, desserts, complimentary room service, fitness classes, and crew gratuities, achieving savings of up to 65% compared to purchasing these services separately.
