Royal Caribbean International has officially opened the gates to the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in the Bahamas today, January 7.

This exclusive, 17-acre destination is the first in the "Royal Beach Club Collection," offering a curated, all-inclusive experience that blends Bahamian culture with the cruise line's signature luxury.

Guests arriving in Nassau can now purchase day passes to access two pristine beaches, three sprawling pools, and "The Floating Flamingo," which has been verified as the world’s largest swim-up bar.

The project is a significant boost for the Bahamian economy, as it was developed as a public-private partnership with local residents owning equity in the venture.

Beyond the pools and DJ-led parties, the club features local artisan huts and traditional Bahamian cuisine, aimed at providing a more authentic connection to the island.

For the cruise industry, this launch marks a shift toward "destination-controlled" tourism, where cruise lines invest heavily in land-based infrastructure to ensure a consistent, high-end experience for their passengers during port calls.
