33rd Edition of ATM Opens in Dubai with a Strong Technological Focus
The 33rd edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) has officially opened its doors at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together leaders and professionals from the global tourism industry for four days of strategic networking. Running through September 17, the professional gathering centers on the core theme "Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology," incorporating high-level debates on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, smart mobility, and sustainable growth.
A primary highlight of this year's convention is the debut of ATM Travel Tech, an exclusive dedicated space spanning two entire exhibition halls with the active participation of more than 180 exhibitors from 30 countries. At the epicenter of this showcase sits the Tech & Innovation Hub, an 850-square-meter specialized precinct displaying cutting-edge breakthroughs in immersive technology, robotics, and green technologies, alongside hosting the prestigious Future Stage forum.
Danielle Curtis, regional portfolio director for the United Arab Emirates at RX Global, pointed out to international media that this profound format evolution directly addresses shifting dynamics within the global travel market. The director emphasized during the opening ceremony that this year is particularly significant as the sector observes continuous transformation across both the broader industry and the trade event itself, introducing an expanded conference program.
Beyond the strict technological scope, the institutional agenda features the traditional Ministerial Debate focused on building an industry resilient through regional collaboration, featuring senior government representatives and international organizations. Additionally, prominent analytical firms and global consultancies are presenting detailed market studies to assist enterprises in interpreting shifting commercial conditions and identifying new avenues for expansion.
Organizers have utilized the milestone event to unveil a refreshed brand identity, mirroring the operational transition of the exhibition into a year-round active platform. Reporting a 16% year-on-year growth trajectory and an attendance surpassing 55,000 professionals from 166 countries, the Dubai gathering firmly reinforces its pivotal role as a catalyst for worldwide tourism recovery and long-term development.
