BIT 2023 Opens in the Presence of Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè

Everything is ready to kick off BIT 2023, the Milan fair of tourism, spanning from today to February 14.

Many important moments will mark the exposition, hold at Fieramilano city, Allianz MiCo confirming the role of the event for the sector and for the entire Italian tourism (and connected) economy will be the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, who will officially inaugurate the 43rd edition of the International Tourism Exchange, the most historic event in the sector and for over 40 years a point of reference for all the players in the supply chain.

A truly special edition because it will be the first carbon neutral: the estimated approximately 3,000 tons of CO2 generated by the event will, in fact, be entirely neutralized thanks to a certified environmental project, a photovoltaic plant in the Indian region of Andhra Pradesh.

Minister Santanchè will then perform a tour of honor at the event and, in particular, will participate in the inauguration of the ENIT (Italy promotional agency) stand (Hall 3 - Stand C24) in the presence of CEO Ivana Jelinic, and in the inauguration of the ITA stand (Hall 4 - Stand C131 D132 ) with Emiliana Limosani, CCO ITA Airways and CEO Volare. In the afternoon (3.30 pm, Hall 4 Coral Room 4) ENIT will present the sector data together with ISNART, while at 1.30 pm ITA will present the new destinations at its stand, including Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco and Washington .

Tourism and wellness: focus on spa tourism

BIT hosts the debate on the relationship between the tourist experience and the well-being of the individuals, society and the environment, moderated by Marcantonio Ruisi, professor at the University of Palermo. Focus on thermal tourism and sustainability, with Emilio Becheri, expert in the economics of tourism and cultural heritage, and Nicola Boccella, professor at the Sapienza University of Rome. Also participating are Carmen Bizzarri, professor at the European University of Rome with Samuel Piana, Founder of Landexplorer, and Rafaele Palumbo, President of the Italy-Brazil Development and Cooperation Department.

Tourism chooses augmented reality: Tourism 4.0

Calabria talks about itself at BIT 2023

Through the meeting "I'll tell you about Calabria", the National Television journalist, Giancarla Rondinelli, presents the wonderful land with a focus on how cinema contributes to its tourist development. Some of the protagonists of the next film season are taking part, busy with their sets in the Region in the coming months.
