London Welcomes the First-Ever Habanos World Days in Person
The first-ever Habanos World Days will kick off tomorrow in London, marking a historic event from June 20th to 22nd, 2024, celebrating the 55th anniversary of the iconic Habanos Trinidad brand.
For three days, Habanos aficionados from around the globe will indulge in a program filled with unique activities and experiences centered around the tradition and culture of Habanos and the Trinidad brand. Attendees will enjoy exclusive events, food and wine pairings, and the launch of the 2024 Trinidad Cabildos Limited Edition.
The event begins on June 20th with a classic "garden party" featuring a Cuban twist, complete with music, cocktails, gourmet food, and, of course, Habanos. Guests will witness the premiere of Trinidad Robustos Extra, making a return to the brand's classic portfolio since its launch in 2004, alongside Trinidad Fundadores. This evening will be a celebration of the best of Cuba and the United Kingdom, with many surprises in store for guests.
On June 21st, attendees can participate in a conference hosted by renowned figures from the Cuban cigar industry and the Habanos business, along with an exhibition on Trinidad and its most emblematic and hard-to-find releases for expert collectors. The day will feature tastings of vitolas Trinidad Reyes, Trinidad Media Luna, and Trinidad Topes.
Winners of the "Perfect Trinidad Pairing" contest, Antonios Giannousakis and Robert Tomko from Birley Cigars, will present their winning pairing proposal. Additionally, the "Trinidad Tasting Time" will take place, an unprecedented event with fifty-five tastings occurring in fifty-five different locations across the UK, making Habanos World Days a national celebration of the Trinidad brand.
The event will culminate on June 22nd with a lavish gala dinner at the historic Victoria & Albert Museum. This black-tie evening will celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Trinidad brand and the launch of the 2024 Trinidad Cabildos Limited Edition, with guests having the opportunity to taste Trinidad Vigía. Attendees will be the first to enjoy this limited edition, marking a memorable occasion for enthusiasts.
The evening will also feature a charity auction of five exclusive humidors, including the Trinidad 55th Anniversary Fundadores Vintage 10 humidor by Charaf Tajer & S.T. Dupont (No.0001). This numbered series of 1,000 humidors, with the first 55 pieces created under the artistic direction of designer Charaf Tajer, founder of the fashion brand Casablanca, will have its proceeds donated to the Cuban Public Health System. Tajer will be present at this glamorous dinner, adding to the evening's significance.
