Querétaro Ranks High as Top MICE Destination as 25th Edition of MITM Americas Ends
Charo Trabado, CEO of MITM Events welcomed the authorities, international buyers, exhibitors, press and friends of the sector during the opening cocktail, which took place at the Museum of Arts of Queretaro, known as MAQRO, located in the former Cloister of San Agustin, declared Cultural Heritage in 1987 by decree of former President Miguel de la Madrid.
For her part, Adriana Vega, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Queretaro, welcomed the participants and assured that it was a luxury for her to share this moment with everyone present in such a beautiful setting as MAQRO. She also thanked MITM Events for having chosen Queretaro as the venue for this 25th edition and for the teamwork carried out during these months.
"In Queretaro, we are convinced that teamwork, strengthening the product and service, professionalization and specialization, inclusion and digitization is what today allows us to open the doors of this house, Queretaro."
On the other hand, Mrs. Adriana Vega thanked Charo Trabado and her team for the work done in organizing the event, inviting all those present to always consider Querétaro "as their home".
In his speech, Alfredo Espinosa, General Director of Querétaro Centro de Congresos, host of the MITM Americas venue, reaffirmed the joint work with the organizers and the importance of this type of event for Querétaro in general and for the congress center in particular.
During the two days of the event, 1. 300 appointments between managers and executives from tourism offices, convention bureaus, congress centers, hotels, DMC's, hoteliers, corporate companies, incentive agencies, international associations, event planners, congress organizers, luxury agencies and tour operators with a MICE focus from Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Holland, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland, Thailand and the USA have generated medium and long term business estimated at approximately 150 million euros.
The Rooftop Cúspide, located in the Congress Center, was the place chosen for the closing gala where the participants enjoyed a dinner with the best visits of the city accompanied by a musical show.
