San Antonio to Host the Third Edition of the Tianguis of Magical Towns

The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, announced that everything is ready for the third edition of the International Tianguis of Magical Towns, which will take place from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30 of this year at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) indicated that, for this edition, the participation of 139 Magical Towns from 26 states of the Mexican Republic, as well as 26 Magical Neighborhoods, is confirmed in person. The rest of the Magical Towns and Neighborhoods will participate virtually through the platform of their strategic ally, México Desconocido.
He detailed that the International Tianguis of Magical Towns aims to showcase and promote these tourist destinations, which are considered the new face of Mexican tourism and important travel motivators. With 177 Magical Towns and now 32 Magical Neighborhoods, Mexico expands its offer of tourist destinations to promote them in its main source market, which is the United States.
He highlighted that this is the first International Tianguis of Magical Towns to include the Magical Neighborhoods, a designation given to emblematic areas primarily located in the state capitals or major cities. These neighborhoods preserve the essence of their localities and serve as hubs for tourists and visitors, directing them to the Magical Towns.
Torruco Marqués stated that throughout the Tianguis, there will be an intensive cultural agenda with artistic and musical activities, among other expressions from various parts of Mexico, to promote the Magical Towns and Neighborhoods.
The International Tianguis of Magical Towns 2024 will contribute to diversifying tourism activities, ensuring that the economic benefits reach the local population.
