Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, informed this Friday that the 2024 edition of Mexico's Tianguis Turístico will be held in Acapulco between April 8 and 12.

On his X account (Twitter), Mexico's Secretary of Tourism wrote: "Tianguis Turístico stays in #Acapulco. Thanks to the work of the 3 orders of government and the commitment of entrepreneurs in the tourism sector."

And later he added: "I appreciate the presence of the leaders of the tourism sector. All united we will achieve that #Acapulco shines again and that it is an example at international level that united we go forward for the good of #Tourism in the country and #Guerrero".

Acapulco suffered just a few days ago the devastating passage of Hurricane Otis, the most intense ever recorded on the Mexican Pacific coast, leaving enormous material damage and more than 80 percent of the hotel plant damaged.

Although earlier this week the possibility of seeking a new venue for the Tianguis Turístico de México had been considered, the decision of the Host Selection Committee decided to keep the event in Acapulco.
