The US Travel Association and Premier Sponsor Brand USA of IPW on Sunday welcomed attendees to the International Pow Wow (IPW) being held in San Antonio, Texas.

"We are pleased to report that we are back to pre- pandemic attendance levels and will host more than 5,000 delegates from more than 60 countries this week. Over the next few days, we will be meeting face-to-face with travel colleagues from across the country and around the world at U.S. Travel's IPW, an excellent opportunity to boost the critically important U.S. inbound travel market," said Geoff Freeman, president of the U.S. Travel Association, in a statement to attendees.

Freeman reminded that while the overall recovery in outbound travel is still lacking, with only a 70% rebound compared to 2019, as the global travel market becomes more competitive, the U.S. must remain proactive in ensuring the return of its core markets.

"This is the opportunity ahead of us at IPW: to reconnect and initiate new business, showcase the U.S. as a premier destination and generate future travel to our country.  Let's get to work," he added.

During the Brand USA press conference, the media enjoyed the USA Experience and received first-hand information on what's new and what differentiates the U.S. as the world's most aspirational travel destination.

At Monday's brunch, participants will learn details about Brand USA's latest promotional campaign and then enjoy the iconic sound of one of the most legendary rock bands of the 1990s, Counting Crows.
