The Mexican state of Puebla is participating in the World Travel Expo 2023 (WTE) in order to promote and position the locality internationally, guided by its great tourist attractions, history, culture, traditions, gastronomy and diverse sites of interest.

The Puebla delegation is made up of the head of the Ministry of Tourism, Marta Ornelas Guerrero, as well as tour operators, mezcal producers, artisans and representatives of municipal governments.

By participating in this international meeting, the State Government reaffirms its commitment to promote the arrival of tourists from various parts of the world to offer a range of attractions in the 10 Magical Towns and 40 municipalities with tourist vocation.

Also participating in this inaugural edition of WTE in Miami is the Mexican state of Michoacán, with a delegation headed by the Secretary of Tourism, Roberto Monroy García.

During the inaugural session of WTE, Mr. García held a conversation with several personalities from the tourism sector, while the rest of the delegation held direct sales and networking sessions to establish value chains.

The State Secretary of Tourism highlighted the importance of the WTE for Michoacan, because the Southeast of the northern country constitutes a potential market of more than 40 million people, including the region's inhabitants and the important flow of international and domestic tourism it receives.

Tourism is a major source of income for Michoacan. The arrival of national and international tourists boosts the local economy, generating employment in various sectors, such as hotels, restaurants, transportation, handicrafts and tourist services in general.
