WTM Latin American 2023 Kicks Off in Brazil

São Paulo is hosting the tenth edition of World Travel Market Latin America from today until Wednesday, April 5, for which a greater participation of exhibitors and public than last year is expected.
For the time being, countries such as Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador, among others, have made an appearance at this tourism fair, which is consolidating its position as a reference in the B2B tourism events sector.
Some 600 exhibitors are gathered at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, including tourist destinations, operators, incoming companies, aviation companies, hotel networks and independent hospitality ventures.
To inaugurate this tenth edition, the director of WTM Latin America, Daniel Zanetti, said that the event represents "an opportunity to elevate Latin America for the world. Tourism motivates us. Tourism is the solution, and we are all part of the solution".
Zanetti referred to the challenge that the pandemic posed to the tourism industry and said that now "We are looking to the future and the future is looking to us. He pointed out that "more than 15,000 people have registered to participate in the event, which is 41% more than in the previous edition".
For his part, the president of Embratur, Marcelo Freixo, underlined the "pride that it means for Embratur to be in such an important fair". "Brazil is ready, thanks to the work of the industry, to receive travelers from all over the world. Tourism is the solution," Freixo agreed.
