Call for the 2022 Excelencias Awards to Open Soon

The Excelencias Awards were created in 2005 by the Excelencias Group with the goal of fostering excellence in different fields, all of them related to tourism, gastronomy, art and culture. Since then, they've become a benchmark in Ibero-America for all those involved in these sectors, who always carry out their activities with the goal of achieving excellence.

Every year, the Excelencias Group receives hundreds of excellent applications from projects created with enthusiasm, effort and tenacity. The awards are handed out at Spain's International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur), where professionals from the world's top travel industry institutions gather.

We'll soon open the call for the 2022 edition of the Excelencias Awards. The candidacy will be open from Nov. 7 to Dec. 9. We encourage you to prepare your projects and submit them. This year's calls for entries will be presented in a different way than in previous editions. On the above-mentioned date, a form will be available on the Awards website for you to submit your applications.

About the Excelencias Awards

Historically, the TOURISM EXCELENCIAS AWARDS are given to players in the tourism industry and are complemented by awards in other fields.

We have the EXCELENCIAS GOURMET AWARDS, which recognizes the most outstanding projects in gastronomy, an activity deeply linked to tourism.

In addition, we grant a Spirit of Excelencias Award to those projects whose essence is to support and improve society, both thanks to and for gastronomy and tourism. We also have three awards honoring beloved professionals who have left us: "Silvia Zorzanello Award", to tourism projects in Brazil, "Ramón Álvarez Award", to institutions or personalities committed to MICE tourism, and "Nicolás Muela Award", to projects focused on research and promotion of gastronomic culture in Ibero-America.

In recent years, the BLUE and GREEN mentions have been added to the Excelencias Turísticas Awards to honor projects committed to the sustainability of water and ground environments.
