Hyatt Regency Times Square Opens Brings Broadway Energy to New York’s Hotel Scene

Hyatt Regency has made its long-anticipated debut in New York City with the opening of Hyatt Regency Times Square, the brand’s first property in Manhattan. Located at 1605 Broadway, the 795-room hotel rises in the heart of the city’s iconic entertainment district, blending soaring views, contemporary design, and immersive Broadway-inspired experiences.
Owned by Argent Ventures and managed by Highgate, the hotel is the result of a multi-million-dollar transformation, aimed at delivering both comfort and dynamism to leisure and business travelers alike. From the dramatic two-story lobby with a glass atrium to a MAMMA MIA!-themed guestroom, the property is a celebration of the vibrant culture that defines Times Square.
"Hyatt Regency Times Square is the most exciting recent addition to New York City's hotel landscape," said Mohit Malhotra, General Manager. “Our goal is to offer seamless travel experiences, enhanced by spectacular design, unparalleled views, and a location that pulses with the energy of Broadway.”
The hotel features deluxe guest rooms filled with natural light and views stretching from Times Square to the Hudson River. The design blends timeless elegance with Broadway flair—stone surfaces, channel-tufted headboards, and colorful ceiling disks inspired by theater marquees create an ambiance both refined and theatrical. The showpiece is a 969-square-foot penthouse suite, which can be combined with additional rooms for expansive stays.
Further enriching the guest experience, the hotel introduces Cue 48, a new all-day dining concept that transforms from a casual café by day to an elegant lounge by night, overlooking 48th Street’s glittering lights. A standout for fitness-minded travelers, Hyatt Regency Times Square also boasts one of Manhattan’s largest hotel gyms.
At the base of the hotel lies 290,000 square feet of modern commercial space, offering unmatched signage visibility, private entrances, and proximity to major transit—all enhanced by access to the hotel’s services and amenities. With this new flagship, Hyatt Regency brings together business and Broadway in one of the most dynamic corners of New York City.
