American Airlines will open another new route from South Florida to the Caribbean when it begins nonstop service from Miami to Grenada from November 20. The new service complements existing flights to Grenada from San Juan, Puerto Rico, offered by American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines.

Grenada’s Tourism Minister Peter David says the commencement of America Airlines’ nonstop service from Miami to the island will be a turning point in Grenada’s development. He said that with airlift being a challenge for Grenada, the anticipated arrival later this month has been warmly welcomed by the tourism industry.
