Aerolitoral Joins Sabre-Ramco System
Aerolitoral has become the fourth airline to sign an agreement to have the Ramco MRO System efficiently maintain and engineer its fleet.
By implementing the Ramco system, provided by Sabre Airline Solutions, Aerolitoral will be able to achieve optimal utilization of resources, improve performance and decrease costs.
The Ramco software integrates with the Sabre Flight Control Suite for a single maintenance and engineering offering, giving airlines a vital tool to manage daily operations safely and efficiently.
This is important for Aerolitoral, whose first quarter losses were attributed to a 19.1 percent drop in international traffic due to appreciation of the peso and increased competition to its three U.S. destinations: Los Angeles, Tucson, Arizona, and San Antonio. In addition, Aerolitoral connects passengers in 30 Mexican destinations to Aeromexico’s hubs in Tijuana, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Guadalajara.
The Ramco system, which was locally installed for Aerolitoral, is designed and developed to address all necessary business and regulatory requirements including maintenance projection, planning and scheduling, warranty and repair, and drill-down analysis and reporting.
Aerolitoral is transforming its fleet, retiring its Saab 340Bs, a twin-engine turboprop, and replacing them with regional jet Embraer ERJ 145s and the even larger Embraer ERJ 190, five of which are expected to be delivered by September.
