Air Berlin Continues Hefty Double-Digit Growth

Air Berlin PLC transported 12.9 percent more passengers in August than during the same month of the previous year. In total, 1,607,834 passengers used the carrier to meet their travel needs.

Due to the increase in offers to business travel, which is subject to seasonal fluctuations, the capacity usage of the company´s jetliners slumped from 86 to 84.5 percent.

However, in cumulative terms, capacity utilization rose by 2.15 percentage points to 79.93 percent as compared to the same period of the previous year.
