Air France KLM January Traffic Edges Up

Air France KLM on Thursday reported January traffic up 2 percent with a load factor down 1.8 points to 77.1 percent.

“Premium traffic remained robust, driving a further rise in unit revenues. With capacity up 4.4 percent, the load factor stood at 77.1 percent. The number of passengers rose to 5.6 million (up 0.1 percent),” the airline group said in a statement.

Cargo traffic rose 3.9 percent, driven by the Asian and Africa and Middle East networks, it said. Capacity was up by 4.3 percent. The load factor fell 0.3 points to 62.4 percent. The group transported 113,705 tons, a rise of 3.3 percent.
