Following the call for a strike by one union as of Oct. 26, Air France said it will strive to limit the impact on flights and to provide customers with optimum information as early as possible. On Oct. 26, Air France said it expects disruptions to be limited to a few flight delays.

The airline promised to keep customers informed by telephone, text messages or email. The CGT labor union asked 32,000 members of the airline’s ground staff to walk out on Oct. 26 to stop Air France’s Transform 2015 cost-cutting plan. Oct. 26 begins a two-week school holiday in France.

Air France urged its customers to provide reliable contact information where they can be contacted during their trip (mobile phone and e-mail) at www.airfrance.us. The AF Connect service is free. The confidential information will only be used to inform them in case of disruption.

Information concerning flights on the current day and the following day can be consulted in real time on the website’s “Flight schedules” section, on its mobile sites (http://mobile.airfrance.com) and on iPhone, Android and Windows Air France apps, in the “Manage my Flights-Flight Status” section. Travelers in France can check flight status via SMS texts by sending their flight number to 6 3654 (example : AF6250).
