Starting in summer 2012, airberlin will increase the number of flights from JFK to Berlin with daily service, new nonstop service from LAX to Berlin, and increased frequencies from Miami and San Francisco.
Airberlin’s nonstop service from Los Angeles to Berlin makes it the first airline to service this route. Tickets in economy class will start from $1,018 roundtrip including taxes. The new nonstop service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in addition to the existing seasonal service from Los Angeles to Dusseldorf, which operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
For the summer season, airberlin will increase its frequency from JFK by offering daily flights to Berlin and Dusseldorf. The additional flights to Berlin operate on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturday, departing JFK at 5:30 p.m. and arriving in Berlin at 7:25 a.m. the next day. The new departure times from JFK to Dusseldorf will change to 9:10 p.m., arriving at 10:25 a.m. the next day.
Airberlin will also increase service from San Francisco to Dusseldorf with an additional flight on Mondays, and from Miami to Dusseldorf on Saturdays, further enhancing the connectivity of the U.S. to the vast European route network.
