Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air’s operations in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington are returning to normal after four days of flight cancellations and delays due to severe winter weather.

The airlines are continuing to re-book passengers whose holiday travel plans have been disrupted by what weather experts are calling the worst winter storm to hit the region in decades.

Snow, freezing rain, and high winds starting last week severely impacted airport operations, and further cancellations and delays are possible due to changing weather conditions. Due to the weather improvement, the airlines are again allowing travel by unaccompanied minors and checked pets.
