BA Faces Strikes in a Couple of Rifts
British Airways faces potential strike action in the coming weeks as two separate disputes between staff and management come to a head, The Times of London reported Friday.
About 11,000 members of the Transport & General Workers Union will Friday finish balloting on strike action, following the imposition of new working practices. BA is also facing disruption over its attempts to resolve its 2.1 billion-pound pension deficit, the report says.
A pension deal was hammered out late last Friday but two of the four unions involved are giving warning that they may not recommend it to members, throwing a solution into doubt.
