Barbados to Benefit from Airlift Increase
Barbados is set to benefit from nine direct British Airways flights from London, Gatwick, increasing weekly capacity by one hundred and ninety four (194) seats commencing October 26th, 2008.
Services from Gatwick to Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago will start operating via St. Lucia, rather than Gatwick to Barbados via Trinidad and Tobago as is the current routing.
Flights from Gatwick to St Lucia, which will operate three times each week, will become nonstop rather than flying via Antigua. Caribbean Airlines code share with British Airways on the Port of Spain route will incorporate the new flights via St. Lucia as well as four weekly Barbados flights.
British Airways will continue its daily service from Gatwick to Antigua next winter and nine flights each week from Gatwick to Barbados.
In the Caribbean British Airways serves 10 destinations including Antigua, Barbados, Bahamas, Cayman, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, Turks & Caicos, Trinidad and Tobago.
