Bill Gates´ Software Empire to Launch Microsoft Dynamics to Caribbean Enterprises
Microsoft Caribbean expects to make a big splash with its corporate clients across the region when the software maker launches the new range of enterprise scale software packages dubbed Microsoft Dynamics, to its corporate and government clients next week.
“This will not only be a launch of the latest version of our enterprise productivity software, but we will also unveil the innovative strategies we will be using to get the software into the hands of users,” says George Gobin, General Manager of Microsoft´s West Indies operations.
He said the new software offerings are the culmination of five years of development, acquisitions and consolidations by Microsoft, as it sought to bring together a complete suite of software tools that use business information to solve the unique problems facing enterprises across the globe and in the region.
The Dynamics brand, improves on Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS), which worked well together, but functioned as separate applications with different interfaces. With the launch of Dynamics, the software maker has taken the solution a step further by providing seamless integration between various modules, and is drawing heavily on familiar tools from Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel to provide integral parts of the applications´ interface and reporting mechanisms.
There are also stronger integration to server applications and database applications such as Communications Server, Small Business Server and SQL Server –all Microsoft products- to easily facilitate the real time flow and management of information, security and supply chain management. Suppliers are also being kept in the loop, as they can easily log-on to automatically fulfill orders, query invoices and schedule deliveries.
Management reporting can be requested and displayed in real time to create actionable reports, and management can easily change variables and corporate policy to aid monitoring of business operations and revenue flows.
Dynamics is designed to meet the enterprise-wide needs of businesses or can be deployed in modules to tackle specific problems or business tasks such as accounting, supply chain management solutions or customer relationship management tools.
