Brazil´s Varig Maps Out Plan to Overcome Crisis

Brazilian airline Varig will purchase fifty aircraft to increase its fleet, that according to the chief of VarigLog, the company´s new owner.

The official announcement of the purchase of the aircraft will be made approximately a week from now.

The executive stated negotiations for the purchase are underway, and that includes several companies such as EMBRAER and Airbus.

He added that Varig, that resumed flights with 18 aircraft on August 25, will once again offer connections to Frankfurt, Buenos Aires and Caracas, among other international destinations.
