Brazilian Travel Agencies Look at Cuba as Vacation Destination
Directors and representatives of major Brazilian travel agencies arrived on Thursday in Havana to learn about Cuba as a vacation destination and its main tourism products for Brazilian travelers.
The delegation, made up members of the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies and specialized journalists, was welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport by Cuban deputy tourism minister Xiomara Martinez.
The visitors will take part at the Cuban Tourism Fair, starting May 6, which is an opportunity to interact with their Cuban counterparts and take a first-hand look at the Caribbean destination.
The Brazilian delegation will hold the 23rd International Meeting of the Association of Brazilian Travel Agencies on May 7 at the Varadero Tourist Resort.
The agenda also includes meetings with Cuban tourism authorities, travel agents and hotel group executives.
