British Virgin Islands Celebrates Love as Wedding Season Begins

As U.S. engagement season comes to an end and wedding season rolls in, the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board is celebrating couples looking for the perfect destination wedding or honeymoon, those looking for a spontaneous adventure or relaxing escape, couples expanding their family and making room for the newest love in their life and even those looking to rekindle a longtime romance.

The British Virgin Islands offers a variety of romantic adventures and presents an eclectic range of experiences from horseback riding and natural spa treatments to climbing aboard private yachts and tasting local spiny lobster. No matter what stage of a relationship couples may be in, the British Virgin Islands offers it all for a passionate, romantic getaway this season and all year round.

It’s easy to wed in bliss in the British Virgin Islands. Couples who are looking to celebrate their nuptials with either a large or more intimate group can be hosted at an array of award-winning properties situated throughout 60 islands and cays. Spontaneous couples looking to elope and share their special day with just each other can easily obtain an internationally valid marriage license  in as little as one day.

Ceremonies can be performed by the Registrar-General on Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Peter Island, Salt Island, Anegada and Normal Island. A myriad of wedding planners and vendors are available on-island to give the event a special touch – everything from flowers to delicious BVI-inspired menus.

Many resorts on Virgin Gorda, Tortola and Peter Island offer wedding packages that highlight the beauty of the destination as well as the couple’s personalities, including Long Bay Beach Resort, Rosewood Little Dix Bay, and Peter Island Resort & Spa.

Whether a honeymoon, spontaneous romantic getaway or reconciliation is in store, the British Virgin Islands plays host to couples interested in exploring all the islands have to offer through experiential resort packages, a few of which include Bitter End Yacht Club, Peter Island Resort & Spa, and Biras Creek Resort.

For couples introducing the newest love of their lives into the family, resorts like Peter Island Resort & Spa celebrates parents to be with a Babymoon Package, which includes five nights in either a Beach Front Junior Suite or an Ocean View Room, two spa treatments specifically tailored for pregnant women and one de-stressing massage for dad-to-be, one picnic lunch at one of the island’s five beaches and all meals and activities such as snorkeling, tennis and more.
