Cameroon Set to Host the Africa Travel Association's World Congress
The Africa Travel Association will hold its 38th Annual World Congress Oct. 16-20 in the English-speaking southwest region of Cameroon, in Buea, the regional capital, and Limbe, a seaside city. The event will be co-sponsored by Cameroon's Ministry of Tourism and Leisure. The headquarters hotel is the new Mountain Hotel on the southern slopes of Mount Cameroon, one of Africa's highest peaks and largest volcanoes.
The event is designed to provide opportunities for learning about current trends, networking and exploring Cameroon's products and services. It is expected to draw tourism ministers, tourism boards, tour operators and product developers, travel agents, ground operators, airlines and hotels, as well as travel trade media.
