Caribbean Airlines Boasts Great Performance Numbers
Caribbean Airlines has reported an on-time performance higher than that of other airlines in the United States.
It said that since the beginning of 2007 –when it started operations- it departed destinations on time 84 percent of the time. It said that for the first nine months of the year, the average on time departure for all airlines operating from the United States was 72 percent.
In September alone, the carrier, based in Trinidad and Tobago, said its on-time performance was not perfect for two-thirds of the month but for 10 days it was 100 percent, leading to an average of 91 percent on time performance.
The airline also said that since January they have received less than 10 claims for every 10,000 passenger for lost luggage. This is compared to 80 in North America and 160 in Europe.
