Caribbean Star Airlines said last week it has received delivery of a new 50-seat turboprop plane, the second of four new aircraft to be put in service this year.

Caribbean Star put one turboprop plane into service in January and will buy two more later this year, said Skip Barnette, president of the company and its sister carrier, Caribbean Sun Airlines. The airlines now have a total fleet of 20 planes.

Private-run Caribbean Star Airlines Ltd. is based in Antigua and Caribbean Sun Airlines Inc., is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Both of them serve a number of destinations across the Caribbean Basin.
