Celebrity to Offer Short Caribbean Cruises Year-Round
Beginning in May 2010, Celebrity Cruises’ Century will offer four- and five-night Caribbean itineraries year-round instead of limiting them to the winter season. The 2010-11 sailings on the 1,814-guest, recently refurbished Century are now open for sale.
Since 2005, Celebrity Century has sailed in Europe in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter. The ship will kick off its new year-round Caribbean status on May 3, 2010, with a one-time seven-night Western Caribbean sailing. Then it will assume the four- and five-night Western Caribbean schedule.
The five-night sailings will alternate between two itineraries. One of these is new and features calls to Roatan, Honduras, and Cozumel bookended by two sea days. The other five-night itinerary is similar to past offerings, and includes stops in Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.
The four-night itinerary will remain the same and will visit to Key West and Cozumel. Two five-night holiday sailings will be available. The Dec. 24, 2010, cruise will mark the first time Celebrity visits Falmouth, Jamaica, and also will include a stop in Grand Cayman. The Dec. 29, 2010, voyage will visit Key West, CocoCay, and Nassau.
