CHTA Provides Value to Members by Negotiating Discounts at U.S. Hotels, Allied Member Companies

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) is revitalizing membership benefits beginning with negotiating contracts with international companies to provide discounts on hotel stays in the United States, including Sofitel Miami and The Kimberly Hotel New York, and car rental discounts worldwide with AVIS.

"As a marketing organization entrenched in the Caribbean hospitality industry, we are in a unique position to provide our members with access to significant savings and incentives," said Richard Doumeng, president of CHTA. "While our M2M program is off to a great start, we are looking expand this member benefit by forging new partnerships with companies looking to grow their market share by courting business in the Caribbean, whether they be hotels outside of the region or suppliers of other products and services of interest to our members."

CHTA members and their employees can take advantage of the following offers which CHTA has secured at the following hotels in the United States and AVIS car rental:

Sofitel Miami - is offering the lowest rate available for the hotel's corporate rates in its superior room category (not valid for groups of 10 or more rooms). Rate includes complimentary high speed Internet access, complimentary WiFi and shuttle transportation to offices in the Blue Lagoon area and to Miami International airport. The Kimberly Hotel New York - provides CHTA members with savings up to 50% off nightly rates for its deluxe guest room and a luxury one-bedroom suite.

Courtyard Miami Airport South and Miami Airport Marriott - is offering the lowest rate available for the hotels' corporate rates.

AVIS World Discount - available in Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, the AVIS World Discount for CHTA members is 20% discount on rates GPI and G3I in Latin America and a 20% discount on time and mileage in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Additional benefits include a 10% discount on Super value weekend rates, five percent (5%) on Promotional weekend and weekly rates and 10% discount on Super value weekly local rates.
