CHTIC Sets Dates for 2012, 2013 Conferences in Puerto Rico

The Annual Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference (CHTIC) will be held at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino in San Juan in 2012 and 2013, according to officials at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) and Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), which will jointly sponsor the conference.

Puerto Rico offers “increased airlift options available to potential delegates traveling from the Caribbean as well as internationally," said Josef Forstmayr, CHTA’s president. The CHTIC will take place from April 24 to 26, 2012, and from May 7 to 9, 2013.

“We expect the number of representatives from Caribbean public- and private-sector tourism industries will increase,” said Forstmayr, “creating what is anticipated to be the biggest showing of potential lenders, investors, developers and design firms."
