Click Fleet to Add Boeing 717-200s

Mexico’s Grupo Mexicana de Aviacion is leasing 25 Boeing 717-200 planes for use by its low-cost carrier, Click Mexicana, the airplane manufacturer reported. Financial terms of the multiyear agreement were not disclosed.

Click was to start receiving the planes this month, becoming the first North American carrier outside the U.S. to operate the 717-200 aircraft. Boeing will also provide training for crew and maintenance staff. Click’s 717s will carry 104 passengers and eventually replace the airline’s Fokker F-100s.
