Crystal Partners with Billecart-Salmon for Anniversary Champagne

Crystal Cruises has partnered with renowned champagne maker Billecart-Salmon to create a commemorative bubbly for the line’s 20th anniversary in 2010. Available only in 2010, and only on Crystal Cruises, the Brut Réserve is a light blend aged in the Billecart-Salmon House’s traditional cellars.

“Our guests are savvy travelers with sophisticated palates who appreciate exclusive, fine details like this,” said Toni Neumeister, vice president-food and beverage operations. “Billecart-Salmon shares the well-deserved reputation for excellence and sophistication that Crystal enjoys, and we are thrilled to introduce this extraordinary vintage for such a special occasion for Crystal Cruises.”

Crafted from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from three different years, and sourced from sites in France’s Champagne region, the special cuvee for Crystal boasts a mature floral aroma with hints of fresh fruit and ripe pears. The Champagne will play a key role in the many celebrations aboard Crystal ships in 2010.

Every voyage will feature 20th anniversary themed cocktail parties and Vintage Room experiences with wines from 1990, and select cruises commemorating inaugural dates in the line’s history will feature special dinners with original wine prices, among other festivities.
