Cunard Opens 2010-2011 Itineraries for Booking on April 17

Cunard Line announced its 2010-11 programs for Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria. In 2010, the Queen Elizabeth joins the fleet, but its itineraries have not been announced.

Queen Mary 2 will operate 24 trans-Atlantic crossings in 2010, including an extra day on eastbound trans-Atlantic voyages between New York and Southampton. The liner will operate six-, seven-, eight- and nine-day crossings between New York and Southampton, Cherbourg or Hamburg.

There will also be more “Grand Voyages” roundtrip from New York that combine two trans-Atlantic crossings with a Mediterranean, Northern Europe or short Getaway voyage. In summer 2010, Queen Mary 2 will also offer five voyages to Northern Europe from Southampton and Hamburg including maiden calls to the North Cape and Tromso in Norway.

Queen Mary 2 will return to New York in fall 2010 for two Canada/New England cruises and five Caribbean voyages roundtrip from New York. Fares start at $1,295 for a six-day trans-Atlantic crossing, $3,585 for a 17-day Grand Voyage, $1,895 for a seven-day Northern Europe cruise, $1,295 for a five-day Fourth of July getaway, $1,395 for a seven-day Canada/New England voyage and $1,695 for a 10-day Caribbean cruise.

Queen Victoria will begin the 2010 season in Southampton for voyages to Iberia, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean in addition to its first sailing around the British Isles. After repositioning to Venice, Queen Victoria will begin a series of open-jaw sailings between Venice and Rome or Barcelona.

Many of these sailings will feature overnight stays in Venice, Istanbul and Barcelona. The ship then returns to Southampton and across the Atlantic to start an Americas season in 2011, beginning with a 17-day voyage from New York to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal.

Cunard’s enhanced Group Program, which now includes all sailings, features 1-for-10 TCs and 10 amenity points aboard all Queen Victoria voyages and a TC ratio as low as 1-for-8 on Queen Mary 2. In addition, agents can earn double group amenities when booking Balcony and Grills accommodation. Reservations for Cunard’s 2010 and 2011 itineraries will open for booking on April 17.
