Curacao Still Leads As Vacation Destination
Visitors of the website About.com still considers Curacao as favorite Caribbean destination. Last year Curacao was chosen as favorite. The Curacao Tourist Board (CTB) therefore incites the population to cast their vote before March 19th.
Today the island still had 36 percent of the votes, followed by Grenada with 29 percent. Eighteen percent of the voters had chosen for St. Kitts and Nevis, and 15 percent for sister island Bonaire. As yet, Barbados has 1 percent of the votes.
The rating system from About.com was introduced in 2008 with the focus on better products and services in various categories, including ‘Favorite Caribbean destination’.
Last year Curacao won the vote for favorite Caribbean destination from popular tourist islands such as Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos and the Cayman Islands.
