Delta Air Lines hopes to expand its service from New York (Kennedy Airport) to the Caribbean and Latin America with five new nonstop routes for the winter season.

The new routes are to Panama City, Panama, starting December 13; Guatemala City, December 14; Port of Spain, Trinidad, December 20; San Jose, Costa Rica, February 15; and Liberia, Costa Rica, February 16. All routes are subject to government approval.

“New York-JFK is Delta’s leading international gateway; these new flights will serve the almost 5 million Latin Americans who have made New York their second home,” said Glen Haustein, chief of network and revenue management for Delta.
