Delta Adds Second Weekly Nonstop Flight to St. Kitts
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority today announces that Delta, the world’s largest airline, will be increasing service to St. Kitts for the peak winter travel season this year, with the addition of a second weekly nonstop flight from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The second flight will operate on Wednesdays, beginning on December 23, 2009, complementing Delta’s Saturday nonstop flight.
Delta Air Lines flight DL573 will depart Atlanta at 9:40 a.m. and arrive into St. Kitts’ Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport at 2:35 p.m. The return flight DL574 will depart St. Kitts at 3:35 p.m. and arrive into Atlanta at 7:14 p.m. These flight times allow for convenient round-trip connections from over 90 airports in the U.S. and Canada. Delta will use a 124-seat, 737-700 Boeing aircraft with 12 business class seats and 112 economy seats for this flight.
“The addition of a second nonstop flight by Delta is very significant for St. Kitts,” said Senator Ricky Skerritt, Minister responsible for Tourism. “Particularly in the current global economic conditions, the fact that Delta is increasing service demonstrates confidence in the St. Kitts tourism product. It will be a valuable complement to our overall existing airlift and provide greater flexibility for travelers via the world’s largest airline hub.”
