Delta Expands International Reach from Big Apple with New Flights to Haiti, Bermuda
Delta Air Lines has a new nonstop daily service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, starting June 20, 2009. The new flights are the first Delta service to Haiti since the 1950s when Delta flew from New Orleans to Port-au-Prince.
Delta also will bring back daily nonstop service between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Bermuda beginning May 22, 2009. This flight complements Delta’s nonstop service to Bermuda from Boston and Atlanta. At only 774 miles from New York City, Bermuda is a 21 -square-mile paradise of year-round mild, semi-tropical climate.
To celebrate the start of new service to Haiti and Bermuda, Delta has launched special introductory fares for early-bird customers. Delta is offering a special one-way introductory fare of $129 for travel between JFK and Port-au-Prince from June 20 through July 31, 2009, and for travel between LaGuardia and Bermuda from May 22 through July 15, 2009.
