Delta Opens 14 New International Routes from JFK Airport

Delta airlines today announced 14 new international routes from New York’s Kennedy Airport, including nine destinations not currently provided by any other major U.S. carrier from Kennedy.

The increased service brings Delta’s international offering from Kennedy to 204 daily departures to 93 destinations, which include such new routes as Tel Aviv, Edinburgh, Dakar, Nairobi, Cairo, Malaga, Amman, Lagos and Cape Town.

Additionally, Delta is adding five new Latin America routes with nonstop service from Kennedy. The new routes are Panama City, Guatemala City, Port of Spain, San Jose and Liberia, both in Costa Rica.

According to Delta, more than 85 percent of all U.S. airline customers will have access to international flights via Kennedy, including new service from Charlotte, N.C., Houston and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
