Dominican Republic Signs Investment Agreement with Holland, Taiwan

The governments of Holland and the Dominican Republic have signed an agreement to promote and guarantee investments. The agreement seeks to guarantee fair treatment and foster increased trade links.

Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso signed for the Dominican Republic, and Ambassador Berend Willem Schortinghuis for Holland.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations also reported having received a donation of $4.6 million from the government of Taiwan for streamlining works at the Ministry. Ambassador John Feng delivered the check. The money is being allotted to a $10 million project to purchase a 1,000 kilowatt power plant for the ministry.
