Dubai Buys Piece of South Africa Game Reserve
Singita Game Reserves said Dubai World has acquired a 50 percent interest in its Kruger National Park concession in South Africa, which includes two Relais & Chateaux lodges: Singita Lebombo and Singita Sweni.
Singita said it will continue to manage the operations, but said the partnership could pave the way for future partnerships with Dubai World, a holding company owned by the Dubai government.
Situated at the confluence of the Nwanetsi and Sweni rivers, the 33,000-acre property is situated along South Africa’s border with Mozambique, on the far eastern reaches of the Kruger National Park.
Singita Lebombo has 15 luxurious, air-conditioned, loft-style suites. The Singita Sweni Lodge has six suites set on the river bank.
